The dredging equipments of NGC become the main force in the industry

During Last Decade, the international dredging market has been in fierce competition. The construction scale is bigger and bigger, the requirements of technology, efficiency, cost and environmental protection are continuously improved a lot. With the demands of the larger scale of dredging equipments and expansion to the overseas markets, it is more and more urgent for China to need them. The gearboxes and propulsion system as the key parts of the ships are essential for the performance of the whole ship. However, the key technology is monopolized in Europe and blockaded by them, who only provided the whole ships and complete equipments to our country in order to receive high profits. Relying on importation has severely limited the development of dredging enterprises in China and can not meet the domestic demand and participate in the international competition. Therefore, it has become the consensus of the dredging industry that independent design and localization of key equipments can provide dredging technology guarantee for China to become a strong country .

Climbing up the summit step by step, striving after the perfection bit by bit. Through years of efforts by our staffs in the marine group of NGC, we have mastered some important techniques of gearboxes and transmission equipments of large scale dredge boats. Our technology started from R & D to the international leading level in the respects of the dredger reamer gearboxes, the underwater pump gearboxes, the under deck pump gearboxes, the traverse hoist gearboxes, transmission equipments and so on, and realized the nationalization of the key reducing and power equipments of the large scale dredge boats, e.g. with the capability of manufacturing the complete sets of gearboxes, power transmission and control system of self-propelled dredgers except for the main engine, and the equipments between the reamer heads and the prime motor of the cutter suction dredger. We have provided Shanghai Xingye with complete power system products including two sets of CPP, two sets of main propulsion gearboxes, the tunnel thruster and its control, and two units of under deck pump gearboxes for the 鈥淴inghangjun 2鈥� 8000 square drag suction dredger. The ship has been exported to Iraq with zero-defect for more than a year. In June 2013, the type of JDTS1350 underwater reamer gearbox and the gearbox of lower sizes have passed the identification of the experts of Nanjing Economic and Information Committee. This product added brilliance to NGC'sdredging products.

Which reflected the designing ability of NGC to make dredging equipments, with the improvement of the design and accumulation, the product performance compared with similar foreign products, with more competitive advantages of cost-effective and convenient maintenance services and so on.

The new technology of dredging industry are more and more widely applied in the world. The development of large-scale engineering required dredging equipments to the direction of large scale, high efficient and automation.
