NGC Marine successfully Launched Fifth 'Azimuth Thruster System Maintenance' Training and Electric Tugboat Technology Development Exchange Conference

Recently, the fifth "Azimuth Thruster System Maintenance" training and the Electric Tugboat Technology Development Exchange Conference, hosted by Nanjing High Accurate Marine Equipment Co., Ltd. (NGC Marine), officially commenced in Nanjing. The training garnered enthusiastic responses from dozens of large state-owned port tugboat companies and related organizations across China, with over 80 chief engineers and industry experts visiting Nanjing for participation.

the opening ceremony, Mr. Dai Guilin, Deputy General Manager of NGC Marine, delivered a speech highlighting the company's achievements across the entire spectrum of Azimuth thruster system in development, production, and maintenance, reviewing the outcomes of the previous four training courses. Looking back at 2024, NGC Marine achieved multiple breakthroughs including China's largest ice-class PC6 NRP350CP controllable pitch propeller Azimuth thruster, China鈥檚 first 2MW underwater-installed Azimuth thruster, China鈥檚 first polar ice-class PC3 icebreaker Azimuth Thruster as well as 9,000HP PC4 icebreaker tugboat controllable pitch Azimuth thruster, 4MW twin-screw Azimuth thruster, 3MW retractable Azimuth thruster, new energy electric Azimuth thruster and smart tugboat Azimuth thruster, etc. These advancements further enriched and expanded NGC Marine's product portfolio. With annual production forecasts, the Azimuth Thruster output will exceed 200 sets in 2025. Mr. Dai emphasized that NGC Marine has broken foreign monopolies and ranked among the forefront of the global industry, with the root source being both the company's perseverance and all partners' trust and cooperation.
Mr. Dai elaborated on the highlights of this training program, emphasizing comprehensive technical system coverage and immersive real-world scenario simulations. Additionally, during the training, NGC Marine will also host an electric tug technology development exchange forum, inviting leaders from relevant associations and prominent industry figures to discuss topics such as outdated control systems retrofitting and the localization of azimuth thrusters to substitute for imports.
In closing, Mr. Dai stated that NGC Marine is committed to being a steadfast promoter of China's industrial chain strengthening initiative in the shipbuilding industry. Hopefully, leveraging this training as a bridge, the industry could forge a new chapter in achieving self-reliance in high-end marine equipment through joint efforts.

Since 2017, NGC Marine has successfully hosted four Azimuth thruster System Maintenance Training Sessions, garnering active participation from nearly 70 large state-owned port tugboat companies and related organizations, with over 450 trainees. The initiatives and performance have earned high praise from industry experts. Moving forward, NGC Marine will continue to refine the program content and structure, aiming to establish it as a diverse, innovative, and inclusive brand platform. Through this training program, NGC Marine underscores its commitment to improving technical expertise and showcasing soft power to customers.
