On April 25, 2025, NGC High Accurate Maine Equipment Co., Ltd. (NGC Marine) successfully completed the fifth "Azimuth Thruster System Maintenance" training and Electric Tugboat Technology Development Exchange Conference in Nanjing. The four-day training program drew participation from over 80 chief engineers and industry experts representing dozens of large state-owned port tugboat companies and related organizations across China.
To further enhance the comprehensive capabilities of its tugboat Azimuth thruster brand, NGC Marine also hosted an Electric Tugboat Technology Development Exchange conference during the training to foster discussions on the development trends and technical pathways for electric tugboats, with participation from nearly 40 organizations, including industry associations, classification societies, and state-owned port operators.
During the conference, the invited guests from the CCS Jiangsu Branch, Nanjing Port, Lianyungang Port, Zhenjiang Shipyard, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, Fuzhou Port, Qingdao Port, and Xiamen Port delivered presentations and shared insights on the development trends and practical applications of electric tugboats.

The training combined morning classroom lectures with afternoon on-site instruction, integrating theory and practice to ensure the participants gain practical insights. NGC Marine selected five core experts to deliver comprehensive and accessible analyses of Azimuth thruster systems, covering mechanical R&D design, electrical automation control, hydraulic systems, and practical maintenance cases.

In the training period, NGC Marine specially invited Mr. Yi Jie, a tugboat expert from Tianjin Port, to deliver a presentation with the theme of Exploring Intelligent Tugboat Development, which was warmly welcomed and highly appreciated by the trainees.
