NGC has been honored with the Science and Technology Progress Award in the year of 2010 for two products in Jiangsu Province

The awarded two products are 鈥� series of vertical reducers with three stages鈥� and 鈥� controllable pitch propeller鈥� , which are separately designed and researched by Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Gear Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Marine Equipment Co, Ltd, which are the subsidiaries of China Transmission Equipment Group (hereinafter separately referred to as "high accurate company and Marine Company").

The series of vertical reducers with three stages made by High Accurate Company is the first example in China. It has independent intellectual property rights. The performance of this kind of reducer has reached the international advanced level with features including small size, light weight, large transmission torque and long service life, which are attracted by the users and many foreign companies and have been exported to Britain, France, India, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Vietnam, Indonesia and other countries, are well reputed by the users and have strong competitive advantages in domestic market.

The propulsion system of 鈥渃ontrollable pitch propeller鈥� made by Marine Company is the key equipment in the marine propulsion system. It has been recognized by CCS, BV, GL, ABS, LR, RINA, RUSSIAN and other classification societies and exported to Europe, United States and the Middle East. The technology is quite mature and filled the technology gaps in several sectors in China. The development of key technology and large manufacturing scale of industrialization can meet the growing demands at home and abroad to improve the competitiveness of the shipbuilding industry and promote the shipping industry development according to the "Eleventh Five-Year鈥�, and meet the requirements of our country in strengthening the capability of self-design and development of the shipbuilding industry and raising the production level of local marine equipments in local country.
